"Last year, I invited Sherry Sims to speak at the Rotary Club of Bixby and share her personal story about her battle with breast cancer. We purposely scheduled her event in October to coincide with Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Sherry’s speech was heart-felt, emotional and gripping. Yet, beyond her own amazing story, she provided advice, direction and comfort to anyone in the audience affected by cancer – either personally, or involving a loved one.

Sherry's inspiring speech left us feeling hopeful that cancer is not a death sentence; that through prayer and proper treatment – cancer can be beaten.
